Industrial Automation Application Guide

Automation, both in the Industrial and Commercial areas, is extremely varied due to the immense amount of applications involving Mechanical Machine Parameters and Electrical Control Functions. Many times the productivity associated with the manufacturing process is hampered since the Mechanical and/or Electrical components of the machine are not functioning properly. Some examples relating to this are:

1. Obsolete Electrical Controls.
2. Worn out Mechanical Machine Parts.
3. Manual operation selected rather than automatic.
4. Failures due to overloading.
5. Lack of proper training.
6. Improper, or no training of maintenance personnel.
7. Lack of maintenance Test Equipment and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
8. Improper application of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment.
9. Unfamiliar with the latest 'State-of-the-Art' Equipment.
10. Trying to get more out of the Production Machine than what was originally intended.

There are others as applied to specific operations within the framework of a particular Company.

In an effort to enhance the time spent with the Client and L&AI, it is recommended that general Application Data be Phoned, Faxed , E-Mailed or Mailed into our office. As a minimum, the following should be conveyed or transmitted:

• General information of the application
• Application Parameters
• Accessories associated with the Application
• Sketch of the Application
